As per the police, 22-year-old Tanner Hoang, of Flower Mound, remained found dead adjacent to the Pennybacker Bridge on Loop 360. The reason for the death remained unknown, but police are not suspicious of foul play.
According to the CBS affiliate KBTX, 22-year-old Tanner was last seen at approximately 11:00 a.m. Dec. 16, 2022, on Friday in College Station.
On social media, Tanner’s family said they were in town to see him graduate. They learned about the fall short of his graduation requirements after knowing about missing. Texas A&M confirmed he was not part of the ceremonies.
His father said that he had texted Tanner at 8:30 a.m. The message was marked as “read” before Tanner’s phone turned off.
Tanner used his debit card to pay for gas at a station in Caldwell. Still, all signs of him disappeared until last week when his car remained abandoned in Austin near the hiking trail to the Pennybacker Bridge Overlook at Highway 360 beside the Colorado River.

The Hoang Family

The Hoang family said through a spokesperson that they remained touched by the outburst of community help and also how many people gave their time to aid in searching for Hoang.
“This is not the result that we have all been pleading for, but on this Christmas Eve, Tanner is presently in the arms of his Rescuer, King, Prince of Peace, Joy, and Healer,” are the words written by the spokesperson on Facebook. “They feel God’s love for them through the high outpouring of support. They know that many people loved him.
Please continue to pray for their family.
